| Post subject: | Outrageously Successful LotRO TOSH Server Event |
I would like to thank EVERYONE involved in tonight's Christmas Santa server event. It was more successful than we ever dreamed. Wildly successful in organization, attendance and server participation. Just simply amazing! TOSH has built a vast amount of goodwill on the server through this event, and we should all be proud of the effort. Santa Hjalmar was giving away gifts for over three hours non-stop to our server players. Fado did an outstanding job in the conception of the event. We had Santa's elves in uniform costumes and continuous holiday music. And everyone, just everyone kicked in and provided really high quality gifts. Screenshots will come when I get some time. |

I have to concur... I've seen dozens of TOSH events in a whole lot of games, but 4 hours after the start, (2:00 AM) there's still a line of 30 people waiting to "see Santa". A whole lot of goodwill went into the event, and literally HUNDREDS, if not thousands of items were given away. People walking by were astounded. In the 9-10 years we've been doing this, this is one of the guild's biggest accomplishments. I can't wait to see the screenies! Z |

Tonight was amazing guys! I'm sure over 1000 individual items were given away worth 100 gold easy. The generosity of this guild was amazing. After 4 1/2 hours of non stop giving, it was all finally given away. You would think we were at disneyland the line to see Santa was so long! Everyone got 3+ gifts (a small stack of food, dye, pot, etc counted as one) and some got more. We had so much amazingly good stuff to give to even all the level 50's. I still can't get over how much we were able to pool together. Truly astounding! I had many, many guild leaders thanking us for the event and even had around 10g or so in gold and items donated to hand out from other kins. Truly an incredible night, and my best night in the game so far! Thank you all for making it happen! |

Two quick screens of my own. Have to run, will get the ones sent to me by tomorrow.
Note Santa Hjalmar sitting at the head of the line, with his helper elves in green about him. The building he is facing on the left with the stairs is the famed Prancy Pony in Bree.

It was really a remarkable event. I was quite surprised at the turn-out, and glad to see lack of disruptive activities. Mil/Vas |

I have been playing online games since 1998 and this was one of the coolest things I have seen. I am proud to be a part of this kinship. Great job folks. P.S. Next time I hope to be able to help out a bit more! |

Actually, they tried, and the game wouldn't let them have a variant of "Santa". Z |
